1st Monthly Exam Scope-Spring 2023

 

Dear parents,

 

Exams will be held on:

 

l  Listening Exam – Wednesday, March 22, 2023

l  Oral Exam – Thursday-Friday, March 23-24, 2023

l  Written Exam –Tuesday, March 28, 2023

 

The exams may cover the following: 

 

LISTENING EXAM:

·         Exploring Space with an Astronaut (Weeks 1-2)

·         Henry and Mudge and the Starry Night (Weeks 3-4)

·         The Strongest One (Week 5)

 

ORAL EXAM:   

Read an unfamiliar text comprised of vocabulary from weeks 1-4.  Answer questions about the text using complete sentences. Read sentences with long vowels and consonant blends.

 

WRITTEN EXAM: 

Vocabulary Comprehension:  Vocabulary words from weeks 1-4)

 

Story comprehension (understanding of the story):

·         Exploring Space with an Astronaut

·         Henry and Mudge and the Starry Night

 

Phonics:

Students may be asked to identify:

  • Long Vowels: a_e, e_e, i_e, o_e, u_e
  • Consonant blends- bl, sl, nt, cl, nd, sl, st, str, fr, spl, br, sk, tw
